Properties: Mountain Savory essential oil is very similar to both Oregano and Thyme essential oils both in smell and in use.

Safety: Mountain Savory essential oil is on the FDA's Generally Regarded As Safe (GRAS) list. Mountain Savory essential oil is a known dermal irritant and sensitizer because it is a hot oil and can burn or irritate the skin if it gets on it undiluted. The use of Mountain Savory essential oil is contra-indicated during pregnancy.
